Stables Cantina & Cedar Canyon Lodge
Stables Cantina & Cedar Canyon Lodge is located 6 miles south of Freedom at the entrance to Alabaster Caverns State Park. The lodge rooms are rustic and western and offer expansive views of the Cimarron River Valley, cedar canyons, and the big sky of Oklahoma. 3-D Archery, hiking, photography opportunities, horseback riding, and horseshoes are available onsite. For a chance to really “get away” from it all, you won’t want to miss spending some much needed down time at the lodge. If you plan to participate in a “Star Party” at the Selman Living Laboratory or tour the caves, why not spend the night at the lodge! Don’t forget that the Mexican Free-Tail Bat Watches take place every summer during July week-ends. Buses depart from the Alabaster Caverns State Park. Reservations are required for the bat watches, so call early! The quaint western town of Freedom is just up the road, so plan to spend your Freedom Rodeo Week-end at the lodge! The Stables Cantina offers steaks, burgers, and breakfast. Hours are Monday through Sunday and reservations can be made by calling 580-621-3258.
