The Freedom PRCA Rodeo is held the third week-end of August every year. For over 75 years the folks in Freedom have played host to the Freedom Rodeo and Old Cowhand Reunion. This “Oklahoma Event of the Year” is a three-day, action packed, memory-making event you won’t want to miss. The rodeo is held each night, Thursday through Saturday, and street dances are the place to be each night following the rodeo. On Saturday, the Cimarron Cowboys gather to honor one of their own with a Free Chuck Wagon feed which is open to the public. The Great Freedom Bank Robbery and Shoot-Out is held on Saturday afternoon in downtown Freedom and a Western Fine Art and Crafts Show is held in the American Legion building all day on Saturday. Freedom’s “old west” Main Street comes alive during Rodeo Week-End and features activities for the entire family. We invite you to experience the “wild west” right here in northwest Oklahoma!
