The Byron Fish Hatchery is located approximately 35 miles east and north of Alva. The Wildlife Walking Area, which is located at the hatchery, is open for self-guided tours daily during sunlight hours, and the Fish Hatchery welcomes visitors during regular operating hours. For an excellent opportunity to experience wildlife conservation, we encourage you to make an appointment for a tour of the hatchery, which is operated by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife.
