Every summer finds baseball and softball tournaments at the Alva Recreational Complex or the “Rec Park” as we call it here in Woods County. Youngsters all the way to adults enjoy the many opportunities for recreational activities at the Rec Park. The million dollar facility is owned by the City of Alva and provides plenty of space for soccer, baseball, softball, in-door basketball games and a host of other events. The staff at the Rec Park work hard to make sure everyone enjoys their time while on the grounds. The POW Camp Trail also winds it’s way through the park and provides plenty of space for walking and jogging. The Rec Park is located on the south edge of Alva, directly across the road from the Woods County Fairgrounds. Come on out the next time you are in the vicinity and join in on all the fun!
