Christmas Craft Fair and Santa Days Around the County

Each December finds Woods County gearing up for Old Saint Nick’s arrival with lots of joy and good cheer to all! The annual Mayor’s Christmas Party is held on the downtown square in Alva the first Friday after Thanksgiving each year to kick off the holiday season. Also, you won’t want to miss the Annual Christmas Crafts Fair which is held the first Saturday of December each year at the Woods County Fairgrounds. For those who want to experience an old-fashioned country Christmas, be sure to visit downtown Freedom for a Community Church Service, pot-luck dinner and a visit by Santa on Main Street. The good folks in Waynoka make sure that Santa is around to greet the “little ones too” with the annual Santa Clause Day on Main Street. Be sure to check the calendar for the exact days and times of each of these annual events. We invite you to shop Woods County merchants each season and hope you will take in all of the lights while you are here! Freedom’s Old West Downtown is sure to delight you with its western storefronts “all done up in white” and the courthouse square in Alva is full of lights of the season, We know that you won’t want to miss these special treats around the county.
