The Alva Mural Society invites you to explore the history of Woods County through fine art in an outdoor setting! Take a leisurely driving tour of the community and follow the Mural Map! Maps can be obtained at the Woods County Visitors’ Center or at each mural location. Featured murals include: The Castle on the Hill, Charles Morton Share, The Battle of Turkey Springs, Alva Speedway, Alva Train Depot, The Run, Homestead House Call, Goldbug, West Water Tower, South Water Tower, Castle Burning, Steam Engine Harvest, Air Mail Delivery, McKeever School House, and the Starr Lumber Company. The magnificent works of art are scattered across the community. Professional artwork has been provided by local and regional artists. What a wonderful way to enjoy a fun afternoon!
